I love 112's but it might be time to add the 113 for display.Joe told me I should have one in my 112 display but I don't know much about them...How many are out there?? When did they come out?LE's??SP ??:confused: All info/pics is gratefully received !!

Well, I don't know a lot, but I know you can buy a beat up blem cheap and turn it into a nice non-blem like this:

Hi Clint,

The 113 was listed as new in the 2010 catalog. This new knife for 2010 was a 113 B&C issue in Elk stag

As you can see in BG's photo's a few folks are doing home custom work on these and the one's I have seen are sweet. The 2012 club knife will be a 113, can't wait to see what it will look like. Also, this year Cablea's put out an S30V & Rosewood AG 113. They are a nice little fixed blade and would fit nice in your 112 display.

As BG and JB have said, there are lots of "customized" 113's out there...Leroy has done some pretty nice ones that I have seen on the Bay...

Personally, I find the lines of this model very aesthetically pleasing, and think it would compliment a 112 display quite nicely

NRA had one done for them with an engraved bolster...

Here are a couple of my "home made" customs...

I got a charcoal dymondwood 113 FB off the bay, I really like it, and the Dywd handle look great and are very funcitonal(gives good grip even with deer blood on it).
I really cant see a blem, but I dont care that it has the stamp on it.

I think a 113 or 2 would be nice in your 112 collection Clint.

According to John Foresman, the BCCI hopes to be offering a 113 "user" this year with an S30V blade.

i love mine. Not ever going to use it because i have other knives that would do a better job but it looks sweet.

I first started looking at them AFTER I seen the 'Heritage'set in the 2012 catalog at the Virginia show..It is teamed up with a real nice 112 that should be in my display, a LE in burl, only 250 made and nobody in the club is displaying them..I asked around if somebody would like to split the set[net to BCCI like $475.00 or so] then the more I thought about it the more i am thinking to just buy it myself and keep the 113 and add that to my 112 display. Buying the set will be the only way to get the rare 112 and I better not wait to long either...I'm running into the problem so many of us have, more Bucks needed than $$$ bucks to buy.HA! There is 4 or 5 112's that I NEED to add to my display this year Oh well.............

I believe that the 113 is a great general use fixed blade and for certain one of the more practical fixed blades buck has produced with that being said they are also quite attractive and would make for a fine display in a well rounded collection of bucks all in all I think you would realy enjoy a 113.

I'll get my first with the Heritage set..Joe is right it is the fixed blade 112..I have learned to love MANY,MANY Buck knives now......

If you like the 113 - but want it in an upgrade steel - like CPM154 - consider the Gen5 #005RWS. Canned a while back, they still surface for ~ $90-$95 with a decent drop sheath in leather. Quite similar sized blade.

I have 2 Gen 5's..But they are Award bucks and I don't think I could bring myself to use them..for me it's the 112 113 connection.I could have Leroy make me a true 112 fixed blade,as it would draw a lot of looks in my display.
