Just something I put together to hand out to friends. Small enough to fit most anywhere and covers a pretty wide range of possible uses. I did these in orange but everything shown is available in black as well. I'm sure there are some things that could be added and might be in the future. But I think this is a nice little gadget to hand folks as a thank you.

Oh and the best part is everything shown was ~$15 including shipping.

Its $27.90 when I add it up, but still a nice collection of goodies. I like it.

Would be especially nice to throw in the spouse's vehicle, or to give to someone who had no such items.

FS104 ORANGE Metal Match Survival Fire Starter $6.00 USD
Safety Orange Body LED With White LED (ARES LIGHT) $1.00 USD
P-38 U.S. Issue Can Openers $0.40 USD
Micro 3" Widgy Bar Item # Small Widgy Bar $5.00 USD
ORANGE HANDLE Pocket Straight Razor Item # $1.50 USD
Orange 550 Cord $6.00 USD

Subtotal: $19.90 USD
Shipping & Handling: $8.00 USD

The 550 cord is $6 for 100 feet. I divided that and the shipping out per item. So far I've made 10 of those little combos and I still have quite a bit of 550 cord left.

MrMojo, I like your basic kit. If the people you give one to know how to use those items, they'll have a good start.

What is your opinion of the little crowbar?

So far I'm very impressed with them. I've had one on my keychain for close to a month now and it has proven very handy. I've done everything from open cans to pry fencing staples with it and it's holding up fine. I wrapped mine like the one in the pic which helps get a grip and keep it there.

Has anyone tried the Pocketwrench II? Do you find it more or less useful than the Widgy Bar?

I have both. They're very different things. I've used the Pocketwrench more than the widgy bar, but I encounter more nuts and bolts to tighten/loosen than things to pry open.

The Pocketwrench is not as good of a pry tool.

Get both. And the Versa-Driver kit as they'll both fit in that little zippered pouch with the Versa-Driver tools. http://www.countycomm.com/versadriver.htm
