Alright. I wanna know. Did it ever sell? It sat there, by BURA, beautiful blade and fine grained handle. There was a small chip missing from the corner of the handle and the butt cap was bent.

WAS THERE ANYONE HERE WITH THE SAND TO GET THAT BLADE?

Now, I would really like to know. You see, someone sent me a strange, twisted email, accusing me of various psych crimes, you know the usual, enabling, co-dependency, la te da. This is America, land of Co dependency. Wake up and smell the Bura 18th Century for a lousy 75 bucks.

Hey munk...remember the cat in the triangular box? Well, she's settled down I think (haven't heard her in a day or so)...I'd be willing to trade her now for that bunged up Bura...:)

I don't think it would be too hard to fix. Tape the brass so it doesn't scratch, gently tap the brass back into shape with a hammer, then fill the gap with some two-ton epoxy mixed with sawdust. It could probably be done in an afternoon, and you'd neve know it had been repaired unless you looked closely.

As for the psych crimes, sheesh, this place is a veritable den of enablers:D Don't come here if you are looking for help with HIKV, that is, unless you want to be infected.

I'm thinking half the forum doesn't realize an 18th century by Bura for 75 bucks sat unclaimed for over 24 hours. Check out the 'other' bargain page from yesterday, 1-14-04 on page two of this forum. "Blems, winners really,..."

Just for something to trim your yard it was worth 75 bucks. "OH" I heard, "I really want a 18th Century..." Whine. Whimper. But where were you collectors of gravity?!!!

And if someone got it, I wanna know if I can come over and use it?? Just a little bit?

BTW Josh, How is it I think of you as young, but you sound smarter every day and I just sound strident, enabling and MAD???!!

On my way to a crotchity cantankerous old age.

oh, yeah. Saw it. I agree that it needs the filework to be 18c. Otherwise, it's just like an AK bowie without the fullers--not the same thing in my book. Kinda like how Uncle mentioned his dislike of the red felt on the Koth Bltongs. Still a steal fer $75!

I'm sure filemarking could be added aftermarket...

Heh heh, Munk, I'll be 33 at the end of April. Everything I've learned about khukuris I've learned right here. I never think of your posts as strident. Mad? maybe a little, but in a good sort of way, like a shaman, or a poet:) The world needs more of your brand of madness.

Bill once said if I wrote commercially the way I write here I'd make a million bucks. But he hasn't sent me any money.

Josh, I'd forgotten how much fun I used to have here. I missed the place and you too.

Ferrous, many people like the uncut version, myself included. I don't see it as an AK without the fullers. Look at the neck and curve.

I think it looks better than the criss crossed one.

LCS37-- if you get any more khukuris, the concentrated mass of steel is likely to cause a giant sinkhole in NM:D.

I got there FIVE minutes before it went. I watched as Yangdu pulled up the address and wrote out the mailing label.

Take that, ENABLER munk! :p ;) :D Nyah, nyah, nyah.

"I try, Lord, but these children, these angry faces do not comprehend the good. 18th Century Bura....gone to NM like so many others led to slaughter...

Oh well, Rusty, there will be another 18th Century...perhaps by the esteemed Kami...Joe Smoe

JUst kidding. If you wanted it I wanted you to have it. We both know new delight is always pouring in.

munk

Munk, did you get it? Must have, I haven't received a confirm or deny email. Assumed it went somewhere besides NM.

Josh Maybe I will sink into one of those underground tunnels that go up to Dulce.:)
Check out the Feb NM Magazine..

No, I'd tried to open Rusty's eyes, but thought you got it this morning when Rusty said he saw it go out.

So who Did Get this Blade??
