The Big day finally arrived. We had a great time and allot of fun for everyone.Mr.Alex Daniels gave a heck of a grinding demonstration, along with talking about folders and other knifemaking subjects,The man is just a walkin textbook when it comes to making knives. We were fortunate to have him come up and do this for us.I also Demonstrated on forging Damascus,I started with a plain stacked bar,But everyone wanted to see how I did my Scrap iron Damascus, and there were allot of laughs and fun as we started puttind pieces of gun barrel, ball bearings socket extensions and things like that into this billet and made a really nice piece of Damascu,A couple of guys stayed late and we worked in the forge until 10:00pm.
Thanks to my Wife Donna for putting up with all us guys,She served a great soup and sandwich lunch for everybody and she also decorated a cake with my logo on it.After lunch we all broke out our knives and set up a small display on the lawn in front of the shop so we could all see each others knives,This was great, there were somany great looking knives around that I didn't know were to start first...I believe that my second symposium was a great success and I can't wait until next year to do it again, bigger and better...
Thanks to all that attended and made this a great gathering

I have gone to the Western Canadian Symposium for the last 4 years in a row and helped with the setup, teardown, and did some demos. I know how much work they involve. Congradulations!!!! Looks like everyone had fun.

Bruce, Can you put the full size photos from the symposium on your website so we can take a look at them?

Thanks -chris
