This will be my third such give away here on Bladeforums.
I have decided to give away a knife as a “Christmas Eve Gift”. It will be a traditional pattern, which I have already chosen, but will not divulge. The giveaway will run through midnight, Sunday December 16, 2012. To be eligible for this giveaway, you must have at least two qualifying posts in this subforum in the last 168 hours preceding this post. Posts in this forum which indicate “I’m in” for a giveaway will not count as qualifying posts.

Read this carefully.
If you enter this give away and are qualified, you will need to check to see if you are a winner no later than Tuesday morning and send me your mailing information so that I will have a chance of getting it to you on or before the 24th. You folks that are not in the USA, may still enter, but I cannot ship anywhere the USPS will not deliver and I can't guarantee that it will arrive before 12/24/2012. Indeed I cannot guarantee that it will arrive at all, but you are welcome to enter.

This is my way of saying Merry Christmas to my friends here in "Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades".

In 2010, I was offered some “midwest winter”, but I’m having none of that. Unless you can send it to me in August.

If you win the giveaway, it would be appreciated if you would post a picture of “the gift” here so the folks that entered can see the gift.

Keep in mind that God, the Father, gave the best gift to us that He could give; one we cannot hope to repay. So, I hope that you can find someone, or some charity to participate in during the season that will help someone that really needs some love and kindness. I can guarantee that it will do you more good than it costs you. There is no feeling like helping your fellow man (or woman) when they need some help.

One last thing, please do not open the gift until Dec. 24th.

Wishing “Merry Christmas” to everyone!! - Ed J

Edit: Winner for 2012 is #24 Pertinux. Congratulations!

Thank you for the chance to win a Christmas Eve present, a present who's first task is sure to be opening the rest of the presents on Christmas morning. I'm in.

Merry Christmas,
Connor

Such a great message. Puts everything in perspective.

Please include me in this giveaway. Thanks.

NOT AN ENTRY

You are somethin' else Ed, just wanted thanks for all you've given here, still carryin' and usin' the knife I won in your last giveaway.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your's.

Ed I agree with your statements. Jesus is the reason for the season. I'd like to take part so I'm in. Thanks

A guideline, not an entry.

Giveaways are always fun. However, everyone remember that there are members in Traditional of many faiths, and we likely have members who are of no faith. Therefore, as with Ed's effort last year, as long as this is not linked to religion, it's OK to run.

And having given my grinchy, politically correct guideline, I do wish all a happy season, no matter what you believe. And with all of the disruptions in people's lives on the West Coast, the East Coast and around the world, I agree with Ed that there is much benefit in helping others, and there are many others to be helped this year.

A lovely gesture Ed, and thanks for including us foreigners :)

Season's Greetings everyone, hope it's a happy time for you and your families, and a Happy New Year to all :)

Jack

Another great giveaway, thank you Ed for your generosity and knowledge on the forum.

Last Christmas, I used my first GEC (a Conductor) to open presents. I can hardly believe a year has gone by, though my bank account knows and is hollering "uncle"! :D

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all,
Griff
