As we all know the failed stimulus package from N'Obama did nothing for small business. These are your local businesses that together employee more people than the banks and such that got bailouts. Forum member BJE posted in the traditional forum he ordered a new Case knife and will do so each month to help with Case's business fall. But what of the small businesses right in your hometown?

This is the focus of the 3/50 Project...hometown businesses. It costs nothing to join, nothing to participate...all you have to do is shop at your local brick and mortar stores.

To learn more visit them at http://www.the350project.net/ and let's keep those small businesses growing and employing our friends and neighbors.

I already practice this, and am trying to teach my kids the value of keeping our dollars in our community. Sure, I can save a few bucks by going to one of the Home Depots in my area, but I choose to shop at a local family owned and operated Ace Hardware. If and when we do eat out, it is in one of the local family owned eateries right in my hometown. Same thing for the little grocery store, who somehow always manages to get far better produce than the big chains nearby.

After all, I own and operate a small business. I am VERY appreciative of all my clients. It goes full circle.
