I hinted to my GF about wanting the 39 for a "Gift" but was neveer crazy about the grips.... maybe its better that way.... just go with the 9... why change a good thing...

I think it would of done better if they gave two sets of handles, one in black, like what Ka Bar did with the choppers that they tried to market to the Zombie craze....

hmmm... I was wanting to pick one of these up.

I hope that kabar gives upon the green soon. i wish this knife had come with a orange set of scales and a earth tone set of scales. Toxic green is just too played out at this point.

I agree, think lots of people love a Good blaze orange. Really do like the clear 9 though, could always swap for those colored handles kabar makes

I also hated the big billboard lettering. I think the clear coat is a fantastic idea. More Becker knives should be offered with a clear coat.

Orange blaze and OD green would suit me...... I won't miss the 39....never liked the scrolling billboard across the blade, not sure I've ever seen one that didn't get stripped anyway.
