Today we celebrate the 246th year of the Declaration of Independence.

The first line of the second paragraph is iconic.

We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,

that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—-

John Adams wanted July 2nd, the day Continental Congress voted for Independence.
The written Declaration of Independence was dated July 4th but wasn't actually signed until August 2nd.

I hope everyone has a good July 4. My celebration includes spending the last couple of days trying to interpret exactly what was meant by 'the pursuit of happiness'. Words and phrases 250 years ago didn't necessarily have the same meaning as now. In other words, maybe these truths aren't so self-evident today.

Happy 4th All !! Polishing up the 39 (avatar) for a big show in Columbus, O next weekend!! Of course rain is predicted for 3 of the 4 days!! 😬😑😬

Happy 4th of July to one and all!

In pursuit of Happiness I have the honor of working today. However, my family who is on vacation without me will be home tonight. They will pack a new bag and fly to Disney Land tomorrow. Lucky me.
