i have just added 2 Bucks to my collection: "The 55", made in 2006; tang: Buck/?55 T(sideways pt. towards 55)/USA. a search here does not pull up any info on this knife. anyone with any experience with one of these ?
and: my 3rd 110; this one: Buck/110 C/U.S.A. (1995). this one differs from my 2 older ones(pre 1980) in that wood is different, pin heads are rounded, bolsters are rounded and diff. color brass, AND, tang is so lightly struck that it requires just the right light to see it. i think all diffs. mentioned above are correct for '95 but did this v. light tang stamping occur sometimes ? or, are there fake look a likes out there ? thanks, roland

I have a 55 that I carry. It was made in 2006. I also just bought a 2007. So, what do you want to know about your 55? It's 3 3/8 " closed. The clip blade is 2 3/8" with 420HC steel. The bolsters are brass and the handle is natural wood grain. Great knife.

well i thought that perhaps it has been discussed but under some other search words, as every other Buck i have searched here has given positive results. i am just learning about Bucks, so am interested in the experience of more knowledgeable Buck collectors. basically i am buying ebay Bucks without knowing much about them and their variations but want to learn. roland

I tried to search for ya using "mini 110" as "55" is too short a seach parameter.
Keep getting a "page not found" error.

Personally, I think it is more of a "mini 111" given the style...but Buck calls it a "mini 110" for marketing as, I guess, more consumers are familiar with the 110.

The 55 is a cool little knife. I keep the Idaho stamped one my wife "borrowed" here on my desk now that I got it back. Perfect for small chores like cleaning my finger/toe nails.

Hey - B'aholic, if that 55 is razor sharp, you could go after your avatar's 'unibrow'. Please quit picking at those teeth with it, too...

Seriously, I need a 55... who has them 'right'?? My m-i-l needs to shave her chest...
