Hey all,

First i would like to say thanks for all the great info i have gotten from you guys!!! I found so much information on here its unbelievable. Well today i got my ESEE 6 and may i just say WOW! I couldnt be more impressed! I bought it off of knivesshipfree.com and paid the extra 5 bucks to have it here sooner and im glad i did. i couldnt sleep last night i stayed up looking and more ESEE stuff (fire starter, molle back and pouch for the 6, and 3 rounded pommel and next) and when i did i only slept for 5 hours. I woke up at 10 am (mail usually runs at 11) nope not today 245 pm rolls around....... i literally looked outside every 5 to 10 minutes untill it arrived. So i got it... i was shaking with excitement, opened and instantly fell in love. I wanted to use it but it was so pretty...... that lasted about 15 minutes haha. well i didnt get any pics of it new but i did snap some of it with the aftermath....... here ya go!

And i did a few little things to it...

nice! looks sweet! I was looking into the ESEE 5 myself, but the 6 caught my eye too. That is a beast of a knife! enjoy!

same here it was between the 5 and the 6 chose the 6 due to the fact im not a pilot and i dont see me bustin my way out of a cockpit anytime soon but i do see myself cutting, batoning, chopping and all that jazz

haha ya thats true. I really don't think I need a glass breaker and a bow drill pivot. But I got it because it is a quarter inch thick so I know it will hold up to a lot. If only they made a ESEE 6 the was that think. My life would be complete (or at least until I find the next knife I need haha)

Congratulations on the 6, the molle back and pouch make it one of the most used and useful knives I own. Its been on alot of camping trips with me. The firesteels are great too and pair the 6 with the 3 its my most used set of knives. Its either that or the chris reeve green beret and nyala. I made a kydex sheath for the cr and use the esee molle back and pouch with that too.

Tyler, interesting paracord wrap on the handle. Do you have big hands and does it make it more confortable?

and thanks to all man i love it my buddy just got a becker bk2 and i really liked it then i held the esee again....

aw man that looks so good that barbed wire kicks ass! oh and im thinking about doing a convex edge im not sure though (never done one before) been doin my homework though just undecided what do you think?

convex edges are pretty easy to do and maintain. i've got a couple of knives with convex edges, i don't see alot of difference really from a v grind unless you thin the blade quite a bit.

oh ok thanks ill probably just wait a while till im ready to strip it or do some other stuff to it before i start messing with the edge its still crazy sharp

Congratulations! ESEE knives are great, there are a few of 'em in my family. I went with 5 because of the whole 1/4" thing. Now, I wish I had gotten the 6 for a couple reasons. You really need to be careful, in case no one warned you yet, ESEE's have a way of multiplying :-)
