First of all I am doing this review of my own free will and volition.

With that said here it goes.

First of all.... who does this.....wraps their product like its professional? A professional that's who!!!! I'm thinking I should start taking notes form JD. All I do is wrap my sheaths in bubble wrap. This guy knows what he's doing with his presentation. Very nicely done!!! I'm very impressed!!!

Upon opening the packaging I did a thorough inspection of the sheath. Very sturdy construction with high quality materials. 10oz leather for the straps. Heavy duty snaps. Rubber bushings for a little give where it needs it. I mean dang!!!

It is hard to tell from my crappy pictures but every inch of the seam on the sheath is buffed and polished.

My over all first impressions are; this guy knows what he's doing and takes great pride in his work. It really stands out when you look at every inch of the sheath.

So I know that it was short and sweet but let me finish with this thought; if I where to want/need a kydex sheath for one of my knives i would go to JD and get some of his.

Thanks JD!! Very nice!! And it just want this RBK needed.

Plus, the color/pattern is awesome!

Seriously, tho....JD does extremely nice work. I am lucky to own one of his BK-5 sheaths. Fit, finish....it's in there. Thanks for the pix, Nix!.

Yeah it's an awesome color! I'm glad I got this one! I'm out right now getting some dinner and carrying it. :D

That's, like, the best feeling, sporting your new knife/sheath whilst bombing around town. I'm sure no one's doing double takes with that thing on your hip. It's the anti-concealed carry.

I just got a 710 RBK sheath too, and I absolutely agree with every word you spoke. The attention to detail is off the charts. I was lucky enough to get one in his generous giveaway, but knowing what these sheaths sell for, the value is astonishing.

That's worth another sentence. The value on this sheath is astonishing. It's the best sheath I own, and I have other sheaths I paid over twice as much for.

is that the one KaBar sells?

the stock sheath is okay, but it isn't ideal for actual stalking the wood while i'm cutting and limbing. the knife is on me until i need it, then it's off. hard to to resheath while wearing gear/etc.

plus, only righty! how am i expected to carry two? :D

Niiiiice. 710 is gonna do a custom for me in the near future. Stay tuned...

Yep looks the same to me, maybe a different color: http://www.kabar.com/accessories/76

I haven’t messed with the hardware yet but I'm pretty sure this sheath is reversible left/right carry.

I'll just add, I have one of these sheaths from JD and it's absolutely great!
The RBK is easily realeased and resheathed. A definite upgrade.
Resheathing was kinda a pain with the stock sheath, but with the 710 setup it slides in and locks up so very nice!

And as Nick said, the quality and attention to detail that JD puts into his sheaths are top notch!
You need to get one if you ain't got one. It turns the RBK into the total package. A sweet setup indeed!

I'm going to piggyback on Nix's thread here since I was also fortunate enough to get one of these RBK sheaths.

Similarly, I was impressed by the professional sleek packaging.

The 21 sheath is an impressive piece of work. A considerable amount of design forethought went into this package.

The fine detail work indicates commendable craftsmanship. Julio sweats the small stuff.

I also got a better sheath for my USN Mark I. Good stuff. Great fit and retention. Thanks, Julio!

Yes! I just dug mine out and tried it. The sheath fits great. No rattle despite the thinner blade.

I have 3 sheaths from 710 (not RBK) and they were worth every penny. JD does such great work.
