In search of a kydex sheath for my BK 16 I stumbled across a maker that is new to the forum as am I. I checked out pictures of his work and his prices seemed to be good so I thought I'd put in an order.

The sheath I decided on was a basic taco style with kydex belt loop. I ordered it on Saturday night on memorial day weekend at about 10pm The same night I ordered, JD already contacted me via email asking the details on what I was looking for in the sheath and general things trying to make sure I got the best product for me. He stayed in contact with me over the holiday weekend answering questions and such and told me it would be molded Tuesday, ship Wednesday and I would have it by the end of the week. His commitment to the customer even over the holiday weekend was in my opinion above and beyond.

Fast forward to Friday. I'm finishing up packing for a camping trip and the mail man shows up 15 minutes before I'm set to leave! Inside the package JD had thrown in some of his stickers and a paracord goody! I have to say, the sheath turned out amazing. It sits on the hip so perfect I forget it is there. My stripped BK 16 slides in perfect and locks in great. When locked in it has the just enough wiggle room, but not to much to feel it moving around. This sheath fits me absolutely perfect down to the thumb push. Its almost like it was made exactly to fit me. I will let the pictures do the res of the talking.

JD, thank you again for a fantastic product! You will definately be seeing more business from me in the future.

The mouth of yours seems bent-out. i got a sheath for my 17 from him without that it was a pain in the ass to put the knife in. Nothing a couple seconds with a heat gun cant fix its still a good sheath. How's the retention on yours?

The picture makes the mouth look bent out more then it really is. The knife goes in without a fuss.

I like the retention of mine. I can remove it from the sheath fairly easily yet not have to worry about the knife going anywhere.

Mines the same way now.
heres a pic before I stripped my 17
Note: The leather belt loop was made be me not The 710
