The 810-1401 at Knifeworks ?

Web site says it's a pre-order item. Anyone care to guess what that means ? 2 weeks , 3 months , 6 months......... Totally new to this knife thing...........

Why don't you just call them and ask. I'm sure they will be able to tell you what to expect.

Dunno, but this knife is a KW exclusive and he tries to keep them in stock. So probably a reasonable time. Call them and ask, they may have a feel for when they are due to come in.

It is really a very nice knife and a great one to own. Worth the wait, IMHO.

Wow, I didn't realize the 940-1 was so big. I figured the 810 would dwarf it, but they look close in that picture.

Overall length of 9.28" vs. 7.87". I think the similarity in size in that picture is caused by the camera angle.

I got one about two weeks ago (but preordered a few days before they received a new shipment), so they did get some in recently. Agree with the previous poster about calling and talking to their customer service. I found them to be very helpful when I called.

Yep. I was at a slight angle with the 940 closest to me. A bit misleading.
