first, i'll say i never really feel the need to chop, only the urge. thus, i never really carry my choppers, i only take em out when i want to chop.
today i was visiting a friend for a bbq and it's pretty cold here, so we decided to start a fire. he had a few logs, bout 8" wide. no axe, hatchet, bowies, nothin to get a few smaller pieces. out comes the 889 and i grab a log. i NEVER baton.
"that'll never work."
so they said.
it wasn't quick, i was wishing for my ranger or scrapper, even a mora woulda been nice, but the 889 pulled through quite well.
