My next question that I cant seem to google up an answer for is.
My shop is a farm shed with a wood floor.
Will the wood floor be ok if im careful or does it have to be something like concrete.

Well... You said you'd be forging... I'd suggest a lean too for your forge setup. Carbon Monoxide poisoning and all....

For the grinding you could do like me. I'm setting up an 8'x16' relocatable/office trailer for my shop. I'm laying down 1/4" wonderboard in my trailer. There has been at least one gentleman on here that had his shop burn down, from grinding sparks...
