I bought a bk15

Instantly loved it. But now... I feel the urge to buy more beckers.
Will this feeling ever stop? Is there a cure? What about this knife makes me want more? Is there a Becker AA I can go to?

The knife is quite nice though. Cut down some nasty thorns and made some feathersticks for fun.
And that only made the urge worse. Is there a name for this disease? Is it terminal?

On another note are any beckers particularly suited to softwoods? I live in north carolina where the longleaf pine is the state tree, flower, animal, etc. Seriously they're everywhere.

Ah yes, yet another case of Beckeritis. There is no known cure. Yes, you will buy many more...

They are sweet blades man, some of my favs for sure. Welcome to the addiction.

My name is Bobber and I'm a Beckerholic,,, only problem is that I also recently tried out a Busse my friend has, aaarrrgh.
Think I'm addicted on those too...
This is not looking good for my wallet, since Ethan dropped some hints about new models
Not too long ago.....
My wife is just going to kill me...
Welcome to the club brother...

Dragonetti, I feel your pain. LOL Got it too. Have a BK-10, BK-2, BK-11 and getting ready to order a 9
There is no known cure that I know of.
Mr. Becker gotcha!

Welcome to the forum and the addiction. There is no known cure, the only way to stop the cravings is to buy more Beckers. It will ease the suffering for a short time, and then the addiction will kick in even harder until you have no choice but to get another blade.

Being on this forum is like tipping fuel onto the fire. You'll see and read about all the amazing blades in the Becker line, and your brain will scream out to you "I need that!"

Don't be afraid, you'll do just fine here :D

A big pile of Becker's helps spread out the "episodes" but yeah, your screwed now, it never goes away. :D

I too have fallen victim. I bought my first Becker (BK-2) about a month ago and within a matter of just a few weeks added a BK-9, BK-11 and BK-16. I'm hooked. Now I'm just waiting, hoping and praying for the return of the BK-1.

Welcome to the fray.

The BK9 will make short work of yor NC softwoods. We got pretty much the same stuff here, just less jagged rocks.

Enjoy the primo steel, and post pics. Good pics, the old man glosses over the blurry stuff. :d

Well. Thanks for the support. I don't think my girlfriend or family will be very supportive of my new addiction though.

I do like the grivory though. I blister very easily so a smoother handle is really nice in this world of micarta and krayton. The jimping on the spine tore up my thumb though.

I am thinking of the bk3 since I plan to take some EMS training and maybe take up a job as a first responder. I would probably file down the serrations though cause I don't like them. Plus I like knife designs that are a bit unique.

I might make my own string bass some time in the future too. Maybe I can do some carving with the 15. But that's just a dream.

But all of my knife purchases will probably be beckers for some time. Since I accidentally smacked the 15 against concrete a few times with almost no damage to the edge.

And what is this coating? the toughest coating I've ever seen, but dear god I took half of the woods back with me in the paint! I'll strip it and make it pretty one day.
