So after discovering the bad news of the 4,5, and 15 getting discontinued, I immediately bought one of each; well now that I've seen how awesome they are I want to order another one of each as a backup haha. The big question is, which one FIRST? I plan to get them all but am leaning towards a spare 15 to start since it's so cheap at the moment. (Though I could use the logic that I should get a 4 or 5 first since it'll be easier to spend the money on the 15 later)

i would go with the 15 - its a tweener and a bloody good one at that. its the slicer the 5 is but in a practical package. Go the 15.

thats what I'm leaning towards - keep one all original as a backup, take the other and strip the blade and get some nice kydex for it

you're making a mistake, you can't go all whack-a-mole in the woods with a bk15. You need a bk4. and just image dual wielding two bk4s while going whack-a-mole in the woods.
THAT is the dream.
While true, I have 1 bk4 for now, the other will come shortly as well

Lol I don't own a 9 YET... That's currently 3rd on the shopping list, 4 and 5 are next, then the 9, the 16, then probably a 7, after that I'm not sure yet

We are riding the same sharp edge of decision, I too have a 4, 5 and two 15s! I'm thinking another 5 is next, nothing else in the lineup can quite do what the 5 can. Will eventually get another 4, but feel like the 9 covers a lot of the same tasks if the 4s get gone before I can afford another. (Don't have a 9 or 24 yet, on the wish list though!)
