Hello,
here a nearly finished knife I made for a hunter for an africa safari.
The knife had to be exclusive and dark and materials related to Africa.
So here a 11cm blade from Wirtz / Bahls Damascus (1.2842, 1.3505 and 75Ni8 in about 240 layers)
12cm handle from bronze, cape buffalo and ebony.
The handle will have a bronze pin wich is still missing and an escutcheon engraved with the hunters initials.

That fluting on the bolster is refreshingly new to me. Well done!

Thank you very much!
I allways flute the guards this way, so you have a flat surface for thump and index finger when thump rests on the spine and even some lateral finger support, the guard at the index finger is quit thin to you get closer to the edge.

Kind regards
Nicolas

Finally it's finished and on it's way to the deserts of Saudi Arabia!
I had to wait a long time for the bronze pin to arrive...

The sheath made by Quercur Leathercraft.

Thank you so much! This comment from a professional as you are means a lot to me!
Actually they are taken with my mobile (nothing fancy) on a desk in ny living room, some chairs to block direct sunlight, some pieces of cork or black Lego from my kids under the knife to give some more depth :)

Need to invest in a decent camera.

Regards
Nicolas
