Man I have been going through the safe and I know I ought to thin the herd, but dang it I just can't seem to decide on what I should let go of. Do you guys have that problem? All these good blades just sitting there going unused. I tell myself I am saving this one for my son and that one for my other son and so on and so forth, but that is a long way off. I know there of some of you who use this one.

So who else goes to their stash looking to thin things out and end up just walking away with a blank look on your face. Sort of like going to the fridge and standing there with the dor open. :)
 
If you email me some pictures i can help you decide what you should let go...
My New Year resolution was to be more giving to my fellow Hogs.:)
 
Culling the herd is never an easy thing, especially when they look at you with those big brown eyes that seem to say "Why do you want to hurt me?"

Which one was that Dwayne? That had to have been at Blade last year, you're going to have to refresh my memory. :D
 
I know how you feel buddy!! I did a scan on my Busses yesterday but there was nothing I could lose... so my last strider is a goner to pay for the new P30L :D
 
The ones I have been struggling with are the Anorexic Badger Attack LE's (I am afraid to check my inbox after admitting that one) and the HOGFSH from the original run. The ABLEs I keep telling myself I want to save for the boys, but the FSH just never see use now that I have some FBMs to beat on, and I still use my first Busse a lot, a plain jane SH-E.
 
I stopped torturing myself like that Progunner. I don't try to thin em anymore. I just sell the ones I have extras of (after the ones set aside for the kids of course)
 
PG! have you never attended any AA meetings? What you're doing is terrible, this would be like an AA meeting leader saying bugger I've got all these HUGE bottles of fine alcohol taking up room in my wet bar. I know I should...well, throw some away but I keep thinking this one is for tomorrow, oh and that bottle is for wild & crazy friday nights, ah! and this bottle is soooo good to the last drop...I just can't decide what to get rid of...can you guys help me out?

You're not right....not right at all :)

p.s. - Anything fat in that safe?
 
I need to do some thinning as well but mine would be to make room for more Infi. It's just tough to let go of the fancy stuff and my old users aren't worth much except to me, then there's the knives that where gifted to me, won't sell those.

Looks like I'll be standing with the fridge door open for a while longer.
 
Two or three times a year I think about giving the knive away that I would give away if I found out I was dieing sonner than later.

My adult Kids and my Wife will at that time have a bit of sorting and choosing to go through.

If I split the stuff up while still pretty healthy There would likely be some Drama avoided.

On the other hand if I just sold them off I could prolly party pretty well on the proceeds for a bit.

Give a few here and a few there and maybe sell the rest.

Then there are the Grand Kids to think about.

Might be nice to stick around long enough for them to pick out what they want.

My Adult kids and Wife each have plenty for actual using and just seem to argue about spliting up my other gear besides the knives as well.
 
I think you like the ABA LE's and HOFSH toooooo much to let go.
Better send me that worthles PROTO/Generation one SHBA just taking up space in your safe. :eek:

Don't sell a thing. Are you soft? DEFINITELY be on the "give to sons" side of things.

Now, let's talk about my adoption paperwork. ;)

(Honestly, probably not the best time to sell an ABALE. Sure you'll get a lot, but I bet you'll get more in a year. Mini INFI recession going on right now.)
