while making Damascus Zoe got his hand caught in his rolling mill and it crushed 3 of his fingers on his right hand. he drove himself to the hospital where he was lifeflighted to VA from WV where unfortunately his fingers could not be saved.

i will make all the donators admins on the page facebook so they can be involved with the sales of the knives or items. Buyers will have to join the page and we will run the auction in the comments of the photograph of the knife. When bidding is done the winning bidder will send the money directly to Zoe. The maker will send the knife to the winning bidder when we have confirmation of transfer of funds

also donations can be sent to Zoe via PayPal zoe@zoecristknives.com

this thread has been approved by Spark i emailed him first thing this morning and his exact words were "Go for it, get it done."
also i want to thank Spark again here, for allowing this thread to take place here in the custom handmade section and also a shout out to Karda as well

people are hurt on the job all the time but as some of you well know when your self employed there is no workers comp to take care of you should you get injured when your doing your thing

There sure are some great people in the knife making community. Sorry to hear about Mr. Christ's injuries. There are lots of nice knives donated already. Good luck with the auctions.

While I'm not a "name maker" I'll be finishing up an EDC type of knife for this auction and will post pics when I'm finished.

Thanks Lon for putting all this together. Sorry to hear of Zoe's misfortune. As you mentioned starting on July 12th, this is a Friday, what time do you expect to begin the auction, as some collectors do work and do not want to miss out.

Thanks again,

Ryan

im thinking 5 pm would work for most folks but if im wrong feel free to speak up

also there are a few different ways you can help

There are three ways to donate and to the Zoe Crist Fundraiser and help Zoe and his family:

1. Go to the Zoe Crist Facebook page and read the at this link, Click: https://www.facebook...55340081229352/ There are instructions for the Online auction and it is easy to both donate items and bid on them.

2. You can make a monetary donation directly to Zoe by contributing though his PayPal account at zoe@zoecristknives.com

3. Or you can send a donation by personal check or money order directly to Zoe at home at Zoe Crist, 234 Old Fairgrounds Road, Marlinton, West Virginia 24954.

or you could bid on this made and donated by Mace Vitale

this is awesome

this is awesome

EPIC awesomeness :)

the outpouring of support from the makers really is great. if there was ever any doubt that we makers really are a brotherhood this really should answer that question.

What an excellent benefit. Are there restrictions on who can donate?

Here's my humble offering. It's a large chopper made of 5160. It comes with a nice sheath as well but I don't have a picture of the sheath.

Thank you for the great response to this benefit, the group has over 300 members as of this morning. we have spectacular knives up for grabs. if you haven't done so join the group and be welcome
