I’m going to be brief, because the internet here is very slow and sporadic. I may not be able to catch up with this thread for a while.

Before my trip to Scotland and the North West of England I contacted Jack to ask him, given my itinerary, where might be a good place to find a Real Lamb’s Foot. For the first week of the trip we have been in mostly remote locations, then the second week we will be in Liverpool and Glasgow. Well, as most of you could already guess, when I got to the Wasdale Head Inn, at the end of a one track road, at the foot of the highest mountains in England, there was a package waiting for me at the desk! I had to raise a glass to Jack, and settle my nerves after a harrowing drive up the one track.

Yesterday I hiked Great Gable, which only had one or two “scrambly bits.”
On the summit. There’s a former lamb grazing in the background.

I had an apple to power me down the last mile. The weather had cleared, of course, after I left the top.

I have to say that Jack is a WONDERFUL guy- Jack my friend, I love reading these things about you - it takes me straight back to one of my best highlights of my England tour.

Well done my friend, such a great guy to all who meet him!

Thanks for the kind words pal, you have the biggest heart, and I treasure the time that I have spent with you :)

They come no finer than our Mister Jack Black:cool: I've heard it said before but the word LEGEND is very appropriate:thumbsup:

What a beauty Dschal, nice to see your honest appreciation of a fine knife:thumbsup:

That’s for sure Paul! LEGEND might not be strong enough!

While traveling I’ve only used the knife for an apple or two, and opening a few plastic things. But when we get home I’m sure there will be work for the Lambsfoot in the garden.
