Hi all,

I had planned to post a video review of Dietmar Pohl's remarkable outdoor survival folder as part of my ongoing youtube review series, but in my enthusiasm I made a video that is a bit too long for Youtube.
So, I will record and post a new clip one of these days, but meanwhile here is already a picture and a link to a richly illustrated review in German.
It is in my opinion a serious contender for the throne of tank-like folders where ZT scores so high.

Worth checking out, really.

UPDATe: here is my YouTube review of this knife!

Is that a custom? How do you open it one handed? It does look nice. I don't have a problem with backlocks.

OK, meanwhile I edited my video review down and I will update the article soon with a link to youtube.
In the clip I explain the removable thumb disc

Everything I can find says 440C Blade and Zytel handles.....is that correct?

If so.....big hefty blade, maybe.......replacement for ZT S30V and G10, NO WAY!!

I'd wave it.

You'd wave a folding shotgun stock if you could:D:thumbup:

Pohl Force knives appear to be of a very good quality from what I've read of them. SAR Knives just did a deal with them. You can get the SAR Hornet production knife from them. Seems like a great deal to me seeing as how SAR knives are hard to get a hold of.

Does anyone know the price? it may be a contender to the ZT, but price wise also?:D this is a nice looking knife though!

Great report on the German forum. Though I cannot translate German, I can translate metric. It appears that the blade is 5mm thick, or .187, 3/16th's inches thick, while the liners are 2mm, .080" thick. Nice heavy duty measurements. Is this a custom, semi-custom, or Boker product? I read where philwar said it was already discontinued and that makes me think semi-custom, or Boker.
