I was surprised to see them in the display case but there they were next to the foil hats and the alien jerky. The knives are cheap but the plutonium glow recharger is expensive!

Has to be a fake. The flattened thumb stud; the ball-like thing in the lanyard hole; and the fact they were described as 'cheap'. There are no cheap CRKs.

I don't know guys... Looks totally legit to me.

The plutonium recharger sounds really nice too. No need to ever change batteries. :D

I made it about 5 years ago when I was younger, kid free, and inclined to do strange things with perfectly good knives from a micarta small sebenza and a hunk of 6061 aluminum rod stock. When I first made it I blackened the aluminum but recently I dug it out and polished it and I think it's much nicer now. There is a white tritium bar in the center and around the bar is super blue glow powder that responds brightly to sunlight (to be fair, this is technically fusion powered and not plutonium ;)). When the blue glow dies out you're left with the white bar. The thumbstud is flattened because I find it more comfortable that way, it's still very grippy but doesn't hurt my thumb if I've been working (or playing) in water all day.

Thanks for reading.

Wow, that take some serious kahonas and smarts to rip into a Sebenza and mill out your own inlay. Awesome outcome though. Props to you.

Cool work.
I also like the small insert in the lanyard hole - reminds me of quicksilver.
Great work, thanks for sharing.

That was a gutsy modification! Not my cup of tea but it looks like you did nice work:thumbup:
