You guys and your HH's, I was positive I didn't want one when they were announced, not I am not too sure. Blasted tempting steel!

No Regrets, PG. These HH's will really "grab ya" once you get a hold of one. In contrast, I was certain I would NEVER want a HOFSH but, after receiving this HH, I'm not so sure. The difference is you can still get a HH at a great price. I'll pay thru the snout for a HOFSH!

I took it to a work site today in order to use a heat gun and form the kydex sleeve in a nylon sheath to fit the HH. Just to get past that cherry and make sure she didn't become a queen, I ran outside and chop a couple of dead limbs in half. Beautiful, man!

cleaner145,
which one your recommend for small hand. plan to have one soon.

I have HOFSH, FSH and HH and have both mag and standard grips, also not big hands. Either is comfortable but the mag grips really fill you hand and give you a firm grip all the way around. Either will work fine but I would change to mag,if available, on all mine if I had the choice.

I agree with gunscrounger, the difference in the Mag grips compared to the normal are really the swells size only I think. If you are going to wear gloves for doing heavy chores you really won't notice as much, but I too prefer the Mag grips. The beauty is you really can't go wrong, because if you get one and don't like it, another Hog on here will snatch it right up because these things are the bomb for the money. :D

Just so you know, the scales on the standard model are not flat. There is some palm swell, which help give you an excellent gripping surface. ;)

I LOVE my mag handled HH. The swells give me different fulcrum points and grip positions. You really have to experiment with it to appreciate the mags, kinda like this....:jerkit: grab it at different swells and valleys. Sorry, that last sentence creeped a bit, but I am serious, this is a great knife. Heavy too!:D

You can see that in these photos of my HOFSH examples (black paper = regular, tigerstripe = magnum):

There are also some measurements of the handles in this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3267392

I have the standard FSH with a black crinkle coating & black canvas mag handles
Thickness of handles, from front to rear:
0.97"
0.66"
0.94"
0.64"
0.92"

Same measurements for a HOFSH with standard grips:

.814"
.673"
.785"
.651"
