going on what seems to be the counsel of many when individuals are torn between two blades,I got both.I arrived home to a pleasent suprise this afternoon.IZULA survival kit desert tan,BK11,micarta for both and a set for the BK5 Campanion.I am now the proud owner of 3 ESEE products.I have quite a few knives but i am thourougly impressed with the ESEE products and especially the warranty. However i don't feel or anticipate ever having issues with these blades.I fully intend on getting more(i feel like a new rat pack with a 5 is on the horizon at some point in the future kinda went knife wild the past couple of weeks.)I am curious though. Why do the scales for the BK11 cost twice as much as those for the IZULA?

Congratulations, bub! Enjoy your new treasures; I am certain you'll not regret them.

I think Izula is next on my list...and a pink one for the Mrs...Congrats!

put the scales on the izula and it's been in my pocket since.I love this thing. The micarta makes the difference for me.I rotate what I carry on a regular basis(spyderco large wave right now),but the little IZULA has won me over.I'm gonna figure out the best way for me to keep this on me full time.In the short amount of time I've been totin it I've found all kinds of uses for it like checkin my steaks for medium rare on the grill. My wife thinks I'm kinda goofy for bein so fascinated by guns, knives ,turkey, and duck calls.I told her to go organize her 12 purses sittin on a shelf in the closet.

got a 6 and a 4 but this little fellar is trippin my trigger.I LIKE IT!

I haven't dropped the 40 bucks on those rediculous kabar scales yet-I have no idea why they cost so much (probably cuz we are still willing to pay it) but they're probably the ugliest scales I've ever seen in my life, to boot.
