I have finished one of the most amazing book projects I ever took
upon myself... The 3rd volume in my new series "Custom Knifemakers of the World".

It is "The Art Knives of Van Barnett & Dellana".

The book has now gone to print!

wonderful !! knife and book!! looking forward to getting my copy at Atlanta. Are these going to be available at Van's and Dellana's table or will you have a table? Put one aside for me. Hope Paypal will work. Let me know. Looking forward to adding this to my collection of DDD books.

For those of you who are not familiar with the art knives of
Van Barnett and his wife Dellana, here are two classic designs
of theirs.
A "Raven" by Van and a "Dripping gold" folder by Dellana. Both of
them full authorship pieces...

Looks GREAT David! But I wouldn't expect anything less as EVERY one of your books has been OUTSTANDING!

I an VERY familiar with the "subjects" work, and will be looking forward to getting a copy.

I would think that you were glad to be the owner of such amazing pieces... :)
I should have actually guessed that they were yours.... Typical that you
have only the best of the best.... :)

As for your copy, my friend, it is being printed as I write these words.

The book will be introduced at the BLADE Show and if I know of your luck,
you may probably win a copy in the CKCA Banquette raffle....

Another lovely book i am sure. It will take only ages to get it here in Germany. Is there any chance that I can buy this book from Tim Hanckook?. I will sen Tim a mail may be I can get from edition via him. I have all your books so far. The world of art knives i got from Tim. I love all your books . They are very inspiring and first class pictures. Much better than the books "Kinves points of interest" by Jim Weyer.

The book HAS BEEN PRINTED and I just received the first copies
hot from the binding line...
It was still exciting to see how it has all come together even thought
I had personally dealt with every word and every pixel in the book, and
thought I couldn't be surprised... :)

"The Art Knives of Van Barnett & Dellana" will be introduced at the
coming BLADE Show at Van & Dellana's table.

F+W Media (once Krause publications) will be taking upon
themselves to distribute the book and, for the first time, review it in
BLADE Magazine, in the issue that will also be distributed at the Show!!

Here is the Title page depicting the matching pair of folders that were
made by Van and Dellana for the book. They are shown in two detailed WIP
sections that are displayed on over 50 pages in the book.
One is a lockback and the other a liner lock.

David -- maybe talk with Kevin to see if it would be possible to have books available at the CKCA dinner. Heck, at the same time talk to Van and Dellana about becoming CKCA members if they are not already. Looking forward to obtaining a copy of the book.

I just sent Kevin two copies of the book. One of them to be raffled
at the CKCA dinner meeting, Thursday evening before the BLADE Show...
