the humble and small victorinox plier save the day for me... i know its small and not as great as the fullsize multitools pliers...

I have a problem with my airgun today anda component got stuck... my pliers and leatherman PST gave up.... by the time in desperate i grab my swiss champ, and the small size plier reach perfectly and bite perfectly!... it save me from a lot of grief!... i kiss my swiss champ for celebration!

i have use it for alot of things... cutting guitars strings. and tighttening some tools that to hard for my fingers... it will never compete with bigger pliers but it has its own charm... i trully love this small pliers!

for another celebration, i order a mechanic today... its a tinker with pliers on the middle, and another tinker delux.... i'm gonna EDC this new SAK when i receive it... what a great little tool!

Yes, the pliers are nice and handy. I don't have the Mechanic yet, my thinnest SAK with pliers is the Angler. It's kind of a Huntsman for fishermen. There is a Victorinox Fisherman actually, but it doesn't have pliers.

I have been carrying a Wenger Tradesman for the last six weeks or so and have used the little slip-joint several times. I rarely need full sized pliers and don't like packing the extra weight when I probably won't use them.
The sak pliers have been a nice compromise for me.

compromise it is!!!...
just like the little scissor on the classic is agreat compromise since big scissor is not always in need... yup, it wont replace big scissor, but for that tiny size,it has long proven track record thats its very usefull in many situations.

i can imagine that the mechanic would be very pocket friendly... if the version with 2 layers with main blade, combo tools and pliers still available, i would definately get one! (i forgot the name, but it has black scales, with writing TECH of something... it slips my mind)

I edc a Mechanic on my job and have used the little pliers more times than I can count over past few years. I carry the Mechanic in my front pants pocket and at first it was a little bulky but didnt take long to get use to it. Excellent tool in my opinion!

Excellent! when you understand their limitations and don't try to push it and "pretend" it's a vise-grip I think SAK pliers are fantastic! ;)

Lets not forget the PS4 pliers. Though I am packing a Spirit and an Explorer Plus right now, the vast majority of the time I could get by just fine with the teeny SAK or PS4 pliers.

You never know when teeny pliers are required. We were on vaycay this week, and one of my sons got some paper jammed down into a little magic trick he was playing with, and nothing could have saved the day as easily as those little pliers I had on me.

thanks buddy, thats waht i expected!
the tinker delux definately feel quite bulky since its a 4 layer thick and not to light... i'm hoping the mechanic would be more pocket firenly like supertinker...

the good thing is i always got a small alox classic in my wallet, so, the mechanic would save a single layer thick from the delux.

as long as it gets the job done... its an excellent tool in my opinion!

and with an elastic band, the SAK pliers make nice little '3rd hand' to hold small items during delicate jobs like soldering, etc...

Vic pliers are surprisingly good , and most importantly ; are not cast . I like em !

I like the way you think!

The pliers are very handy. I've had a Cybertool34 for about a decade now, and the pliers have seen continual use. They're great for small hobby projects, and working on computers.

Hmmm...... that's the latest version right?

Yep.

how good are the little scissors?

Well, they are teeny, with a cutting surface of maybe an inch at most. I prefer the scissors on the Vic Classic/Manager/etc., but these are perfectly functional. Its nice to have both plier and scissor on the same Squirt model.

Wholeheartedly agree. My life would not be the same without my Swiss Champ.

Got my mechanic yesterday.for those that are not familiar with it, its a tinker with plier in the middle. Like a super tinker but got plier instead of scissor. And its super perfect! I really love it and actually thinking to get another on just for back up and peace of mind hehe.

I'm not sure sure what model it is...it's Super Tinker + Pliers

I was quite surprised by how nice the pliers are, a bit beefier than i expected, and very well machined.

Hi joben. If i am not wrong,it must be DELUXE TINKER. Got a couple of them in red and black.yup,a tiny bulky, but still one of my all time fav model.
