the axe throwing guys are back

Far out! And thanks for this! Canadians tend to be more frugal in their hobby purchases. But there are lots of 'Hogtown' (Toronto) dwellers out there with a hipster bent, whose idea of roughing-it is hiking to a Metro station with only a plaid shirt and no toque or jacket. The concrete jungle crowd have no outdoor chores, like to have a good time, have lots of money, and (I guess) have been inheriting hand tools and axes that have never seen the light of day nor found a use since they wound up with them as hand-me-downs from suburban parents and/or rural grandparents.
Seems to me there's a yellow painted butt and distinctive fawns foot of a vintage Walters in that clip! If this is true that axe is older than anybody in the room.

i would watch it again, but i dont think i can handle it

alright i managed, quite a few of the axes have yellow painted fawns foots? feet? anyway, i think they do it because they like it. i saw a montreal in there too, first couple seconds

The yellow butt small axe or hatchet being used in this video was made by ShoPro, whoever they are. BATL uses the National Axe Throwing League (NATL) rules. If you go to NATL's website, they have a picture of ShoPro's 14" wood handled hatchet. It has the yellow painted butt on the hatchets in the video. Apparently, ShoPro no longer makes a wood handled version of the hatchet as every search I do comes up with a black and yellow FIBERGLASS handle for the hatchet.

NATL rules require a 13" minimum wood handle with a 4" maximum face on a hatchet head - tomahawk heads are specifically prohibited.
