I ordered a 42-AS from 1sks on the 2nd of Feb. and had not shiped yet. I found anouther company that had them in stock and got it in 3 days, incuding the day it was ordered! So I changed the order at 1 staop to a 42-S, but the order change never made it into the computer!

So I called yesterday and they changed it to the 42-S, and to my amazment, had 1 left, just one! It shiped today!

Double Bali-Song tricks, and many, many more cuts, here I come!

BTW, from what I can tell, this experience is not the normal with 1SKS. In fact, if I had of ordered a 42-S to begain with, I would have had it 9 days after ordering or less. They are going through a change of owners shortly, so they are busy on top of busy. I would recomend them to anyone, and everyone I talked to at the company was really nice, and of course, Busy.

OT, but worth telling. I droped by my local Gun Shop today to see if he carried militec. No he did not, but he did carry Benchmade Knives! Two models, both automatics! So I said, "You can't sell those to me can you?" He said "Yes I can"! He is about the coolest guy in the area as far as buisnesses go. I did not buy one, so I don't know if he would have for sure, so no crime was commited, so the PC Police can buzz off!

I received a call from them (1sks) mid last month telling me the BM42 order I placed in November last year, was finally in. Hehe, I politely asked to cancel it, being that it took 4 months for them to restock.

A change of ownership would make sense I suppose.
 
It's not 1sks's problem. BM tooled up to make about a hundred of these a week. They're struggling to make a hundred a day and still can't keep up with demand. Nobody had any idea how big this thing would be.

I don't blame 1SKS for not having the 42-AS (nobody has it), but it was sort of annoying that they messed up the order when I changed it, causing me to wait several weeks longer. But I'm not taking it personly or anything. I know how busy they must be with all thats going on, so thier forgiven.

I just got my 42A from 1SKS on Good Friday (I'm calling it Great Friday now

). I had called down there about 3 times in the over 2 months I was waiting. You could here the frustration in his voice as he explained why they weren't shipping. I actually felt bad for them, knowing that they were probably getting calls like mine on a daily basis. They switched me to the 42A from a 42, on my request, and I had my knife 4 days from making the switch. I place no (or at least very little) blame on 1SKS, as it seems everyone is having this problem with BM.

And after all of this waiting and trouble, I just had to send the dang thing back in for a new tang pin. Let's see if they can beat a month this time
