So, I bought into the infomercial and picked up the 006 Banjo minnow(110 piece) set. I bought one for my buddy and one for myself. I recieved it in the mail about a week ago and riped it apart this morning. I watched the video and ran out the door to the lake closest to my house. I threw on one of the #5 hooks and used a 5" glow in the dark (yellow) minnows. I threw it about 5 times retrieving it the way they teach you in the video. On the 6 cast I thought I snagged a log but, ***IT WASN't A LOG***. These things really work

Haha. These things are one of the infomercials that were actually a great product. I used to have some when I fished a lot and watched the infomercial a million times.
 
that is a huge largemouth! i got the banjo minnow kit and didn't have much luck with it, after seeing that pic i might have to try it next time i'm out

Go back and re-watch the video that came with it. If you dont watch the video you wont know how to work the minnow. You know if you cant get your minnow working right every thing falls apart:)

Yes, they do work.

I caught one of the largest bass I have ever caught using them, and a friend and I got 2nd place and big bass in a local bass tournament using them.

I was given the set as a gift and passed it on to another fishing friend before I used it. Perhaps I will get another one to try now!
 
I love it! I used to be mesmerized by that infomercial.

This is just a very small spot underneith a freeway, The lake is huge and I think this spot is the only place in the lake that has fish. The wter is deep and merky. In a boat it would take you 15 min to drive from one side to another. Theres lots of cover and grassy out croppings, rocky edges but no fish. Or they are the most picky fish in the world. I get to the point I where I get frustrated and just go back to the rocks where I got this fish. I DONT KNOW...
 
I'm glad that I'm not the only one with was mesmerized by that infomercial. I used to wake up early as a kid just in the hopes that the infomercial might be on before the fishing shows.
 
They make it look so damn easy. The new Banjo 006 minows are pretty easy to use though and they work great... Course I got skunked this morning. I went back to the spot I was kill'en yesterday, spent 2 and a half hours use'in everything in my arsonal and nothing. Its like they just disappeared. GO FIGURE
 
They still got the infomercial on? I got this set from somebody 15 years ago, never touched em. Wish I had em now!
 
They sell them on the famous auction site for half of the price the infomercial does... I just picked up another one last night for 9.99( shipping from China:(
 
I've looked at those several times & almost purchased them a time or two but always talked myself out of it ! I might need to give'em a try !
