Wow, what a masterpiece! :eek: Beautifully made sir! :thumbup:

Did you put some sort of resist on the engravings in the damascus areas of the sheath and pommel etc. before you etched those parts? I just can't make out any layers in the lions and some of the skulls. If so, I'm guessing you did that to keep the engravings nice and crisp? Just curious is all. :)

you never cease to amaze us all Stephan. Fun scrolling down and then the last image with the box -- YIKES! Now that is one incredible collectible. Congrats on another terrific piece of cutlery art.

Yes, before etching ,I painted in these parts with nail paint ,I steal from my wife :D

When I read the name "Barbarian" I was thinking simple, large, and brutal.

I was not thinking detailed, agile, and sublime. And yet the carvings and details make the name fitting, even though the sword is the opposite of what I expected.

That is a beautiful piece of work sir. Bravo.
