So I haven't been a Beckerhead very long but figured it was time to give a little something back. Long story short, I just got some green micarta handles for my BK11 and ended up with a 2nd pair. The contest is an easy one.
Be a Beckerhead.

Show me a picture of your BK11
Tell me why you would like some new britches for it.

I'll let this run until next Friday at 7:00 pm. Will pick a winner by random draw.

See pretty simple.

EDITED TO ADD THAT MICHAEL FROM SAINT CUTLERY HAS DONATED THESE HANDLES FOR THE GIVEAWAY. (SEE POST 14)

Here are the handles that the winner will get. Knife w/handles is for modeling purposes only. :)

I like the tank 7. Another one they make that is really good is called long strange tripel. I have only seen it in large bottles but it hits like a velvet hammer. I am pretty fond of beers with a high ABV.

Wow, very generous contest:thumbup: I have a BK14 personally, but my little brother has a BK11, and the one thing he has wanted for it for a looong time, is some micarta scales. The only place I can find them though, is on the bay for just about enough to but a big Becker:eek: :thumbdn:

I would absolutely love to enter your contest, but I live in BC Canada, and living is the US of A is one of the rules...Oh well. :(

Good luck with the contest anyway!

i already have brown scales so green would be a nice change :D can be an entry or not doesnt matter i just like posting pics, nice gesture man

Can I enter without one, so then when I get one, I'll have scales for it?

If not, this is still a sweet giveaway. Its these kinds of things that make this place great.

Well I do have an 11 and those scales would go great on it.

This one in the picture has the micarta on it but unfortunately for me a friend just had to have it. So, I've got a new one from one of ethan's contests and need micarta for it.

Well, I have an 11. I like it alot, but it just does'nt seem to fit my hand very well. I was actually looking at a pair of grips for it. GREAT contest & thanks for the chance.

I am sure i would use it more with some good grips. Thanks again for the chance.

Nice giveaway man! Too bad I junked up my BK11 already with a perma-glue solution :) [Also, Alesmith's Speedway Stout FTW]

The micarta would help me get a better grip on the sucker so I can go for the ultimate record of slicing an olive into 50 slices. Also it would look cool and fit my hand better. And it would inspire me to drink more beer. Mmm beer....

If anyone plans to get a BK11 and will use the handles than feel free to enter.

In light of full disclosure I want to add something about these handles. I bought the 1st pair from saintcutlery off of Ebay. After 9 days or so I contacted the seller Michael because I had not received them yet. He checked the tracking on them and wrote me back and said he didn't know what happened but he showed them in Ohio.

He apologized for the mix up and sent me another pair. He was really great do deal with. I have had more than my share of less than stellar customer service over the years so this was nice. Anyway he told me if the other pair showed up he would pay for shipping back to him.

Anyway as it turned out both pairs of handles showed up at my door at different times. Yesterday right before I started this thread I emailed and told him that he had been such a pleasure to deal with to just send me an invoice and I would buy them and do a giveaway on the forums.

This morning I get up and check my email to pay for them and he sent me an email saying that a giveaway sounded like a great idea and to just take them for free. I just sent him an email telling him that I didn't mind paying for them at all.

So in the interest of this thread I wanted to let everyone know what a good guy Michael at saintcutlery is. At this point whether I pay for them or not (which I will disclose) I think it was an amazing gesture on his part to offer to give these to me for the giveaway. Not too often do I run across total strangers that want to give something just for the sake of giving. This thread has already turned into a gift for me seeing the kindness of others.

Twinstick I had the same problem you did. Ever since I got this knife it just doesn't have quite a enough handle on it. I was actually on the edge of doing a giveaway with the knife until the handles came in. It still is a bit short but the hand swell from having the handles on it seemed to solve my problem. So if you're on the fence with this knife because of the shortness, the handles might be just the ticket.

It would be great to have a more permanent solution, so I don't have to re-wrap everytime it gets to stinkn' :)

Thanks for the chance very generous, I've really been contemplating the purchase of micarta for my 11.

Since my girlfriend has seen my BK 11 in action she wants one for herself. Sometimes I loan her mine and it is a tough job getting it back from her. With that said there is a new BK 11 in her future. Since she likes the micarta scales on mine and green is her favorite color these will be put to good use.

Thanks, this is very generous of you and Michael.

Here's mine. BH# 149. Still need to add to my sig. Heck, I need to HAVE a sig. Yea. That.

Anyways, I would use them as templates to make other scales for my fellow BH members out of exotic woods, just to make things a little easier, so I can trace em out and not have to ding up my BK11 as much. Also to let my BK11 have other pants than the ones I made for it.

Kind of an old picture, but it works...I think...?

I decided to enter even though I do not live in the USA. I am in British Columbia Canada like my previous post in this thread says. If me being out of the US disqualifies me, just let me know.

My little brother has been wanting some micarta scales for his 11 for a long, long time. So if I were to win, the scales would not be for me, they would go to him.
