BCS remains barren of lovely Mistresses and marvelous, new riches. Who can solve this terrifying mystery?

Well my guess is we're going to see some action in the next day or two.

How quickly does new stock usually sell out?

Is this what we're currently waiting on for BM:

Rumour is that the BCS will have standard or LE Battle Mistress knives in the not to distant future and the Busse Combat site will have ASH1 knives to replace the Scotch Dispenser, at least that is what I think I have heard.

What I want to know is if they will be selling FFBM's because I plan to use the knive, and it is a stretch for me to pay $700 plus for an LE model, even though I love the unpainted finish. I guess what I am looking for is a naked FFBM. Maybe the competition grade knife that Jerry Busse talked about would be ideal.

Anybody have any pointers on stripping the paint off of a painted blade?

I'm sorry, didn't get to finish my last post, wife's dog walked across my key board. The search function will help with stripping any Busse.

Do people actually strip mint finishes, or just used finishes?

I have a bead blaster at work (tool & die) and I think bead blast finishes look great.

Easy there, big fella. We have no idea what will be showing up. The rumor mongering and mystery is part of how the cult, erm, I mean, process works.

Maybe more SFNOs the rabble are demanding, maybe more Game Wardens nobody really wants, maybe 57 FBMs all marked PROTOTYPE, who knows! Isn't this exciting?

Both. I've only stripped used finishes though.

Bead blast finishes look great, but may need a little more attention to keep rust at bay.

Yes, people strip new knives. Then they spend a lot of time putting a satin finish on the mostly unfinished surface stripping reveals. Then they take some Aleve and wish they had a belt sander instead of just sanding blocks and paper. Stupid, stupid sand paper. After that, you can bead blast to your heart's content.

VERY EXCITING!

If the site's updated during the day, I'm just worried FBM will sell out before I get home from work!

Do these things usually sell out in hours, days?

Edit: When you've spent as much time stoning and polishing die sections as I have, you almost look forward to putting a professional finish on a knife!

They will likely be released in small groups. The first batch will probably disappear in minutes, later batches will be around a little longer. Be patient and watchful and you'll get something good.

Nothing to see here, boys...after all, SOMEONE has to say it....
TWO WEEKS!!! :D
