I don`t know what else to call it! 14" of 3/16" thick O1, with a 9" x 2" tall blade, and 5" handle of black G10 with toxic green liners. This one is for Joliet Jeff.

Oh my God it's beautiful! I handed the phone to my wife and her jaw about hit the floor, "why do you need a knife that big?!" If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand. Thx a bunch John. What's the odds I can pick that up this afternoon? I need that thing in hand ASAP!

P.s. I hope your house is ok. My sister's place in Plainfield is almost under water

I`ll be home, let me know what time. Don`t need a boat........yet!

Wow:eek: If I didn't think Jeff was rushing over to behold it's majesty I'd drive over myself to catch a glimpse of this beauty!!

Excellent Job!

I like everything about it - please bring it to the Family Gathering!

Thanks guys. You all are right, it is a Beast! Once in hand you have a true appreciation for its heft.

This knife also has a hamon. It would be tough to see in a picture but is obvious in person. I will admit that when I saw that term used in another thread I had to google it's meaning.

If any of you would like to see this baby in person it will be at the next get together in June as well as some more home brew:) Now I just have to see about making a sheath for this beast ...hmmm

That thing is so huge, the other knives in John's shop must have been cowering in the corner...

"Beast", indeed!
