Bob - your knives have REALLY progressed since the first time I saw you post pics. I'm very impressed! I especially like the finger-grooved handle shapes. And brass guards too!

By the way, I like prototypes B and C a lot. If they're available for sale, please let me know via e-mail (dickwulf@excite.com). I may have interest in buying one.

BobH, if you are serious about 'evolving' the design, how about making the blade grinds a little more elegant (but probably more difficult). For example, making the primary grind much higher, and bring the 'false' edge down to meet the other grind, resulting in a ridge line about 1/3 down from the spine of the blade. This would eliminate the large flat areas, and make the blade more attractive (to me at least). The center line could even have some curve to it to follow the line of the blade edge. I would also like to see the finger cutouts and pommel lines 'softened'. I guess I am thinking about blade geometry something like David Broadwell's inspired grind lines.

You asked.

Para I think you have some good suggestions there, but I do like big knives with recurve blades, and this one is a nice one.

Keith.

Keith, Bob, I agree that 'The Beast' is a pretty cool knife the way it is. I was only making a suggestion that would make it more interesting to me, bring a higher price, make the knife more 'artistic', and maybe a little less in your face 'tactical' (which does not turn me on).

I also like big knives. Nice work Bob!
