I've never seen anything like these knives. I'll be purchasing one or two as soon as they aren't sold out and I get some mula!!!! I just wanted to share this site I found with you all if you haven't yet seen these. At the site there is some history on the smith. If these knives are no longer available I'll be trying to make direct contact with Hattori.

Link at bottom.

They are very nice looking. Well finished. I'll look them up as well. Thanks for the pictures. Mike

No problemo! I was browsing the site and they say sold out but I'm going to find them elsewhere, I'm sure I can. And I know they haven't stopped production.....HOPEFULLY!!

If they are out of stock, there's the production model that Hattori makes for Fällkniven, the HK9 with scales in maroon linen Micarta.
It's a shorter version of the 3 hunting knives in the lower picture.

Mikael

The Ivory handled one is 1,600 dollars!!!!! But the wood handled one is 400.

LOL! :D
There's also the hidden tang version in Cocobolo, still availible at $315.

I certainly like Hattori, but the only one I have except Fällknivens is the Hattori Folding Field.

Fit&Finish is as always with Hattori knives, on a very high level!

To me they look like the older Al Mar knives out of Seki Japan. Nice fit and finish on all that were shown.

Oh, You probably meant the Cowry X HK9 in white Micarta.
Yes, that one is insanely costly!
The same with the NL5 in Cowry X, but I've heard of wealthy buisnessmen getting a pair as souvenirs for their friends...

I discovered those several years ago when I was searching for info on MCUSTA knives. I've seen some Hattori models pop up occasionally at gun-&-knife shows, and they are quite nice.
