So I showed a coworker some of my bush tools today. He has been asking a ton of questions lately about the manly arts. Bush crafting and what not. I told him that once he holds the BK2 he will immediately go buy one. He laughed and said I was nuts........Guess who left work an hour early to go buy a BK2?
He just kept telling me that he couldn't stand not holding it. He just kept opening and closing his hand mumbling "I want to feel that again" HA HA HA

He is my first verified conversion. How many people have you guys ruined by corrupting their minds with all things Becker?

I'm pretty new to the world of Beckerness myself. I am up to four new Becker owners now. One 7, one 11 a 14 and a 2. Wasn't a tough sell I have to tell ya. The list will continue to grow I'm sure, I have a huge family and manage over 150 people and most of them look up to me for some strange reason. I even have a couple of them going to the PNW gathering in September. This will only add to the Becker love I'm sure.

i have gone camping and let people fondle the Beckers. oddly enough, the ladies take them more seriously as tools, and like them. they make good gifts.

amusingly, though, i've "sold" more Fiskars axes and brush hooks than anything else. esp the splitting axes. even to professional logger types. there's something quite amazing about the super splitting axe. it BLASTS through wood like nothing else.

I will probably get a super splitting axe this winter. I am getting tired of the axe, wedge and sledge method. To bouncy in the winter.

Ya'll are here aren't ya? :D

True, I decided to buy the 2 after holding it at a local mom and pop shop. Do you think Ethan secretly put some kind of mind controlling chemical in the Beckers in order to take over the world?

I think I've sold more BK2s to kids than adults. My oldest, the first time she held it, simply whispered "powerrrr"...

Well, I'm not half the salesman some of y'all are, but luckily these tools seem to sell themselves. I would estimate between the BK&T's I've gifted and those that I've passed around, I've added about 7 or 8 to our tribe. I'll also agree with Bladite that women seem to take these knives very fondly. Though, I still can't get my gf to let me buy her a BK2.

Myself! I always thought they were decent knives at a good price. Then I made an impulse buy when I found out one of our distributors carries them. I bought a BK7. Our internet sales guy saw it and decided he needed a couple BK9s, and when I was ordering my BK2 he said go ahead and get him a BK7.

A good product doesn't have to be sold to anyone, they simply sell themselves. Yeah, I've converted quite a few folks to the BKT side, all you gotta do is let them hold a knife, and then make sure you can get it back. :D

I'm still working on my first Becker corruption event (BCE).

I have previously succeeded in corrupting folks to buy: Busse (and Bussekin), Horton, Roy (Fiddleback), Bose, Ban Tang, Hinderer, and Chris Reeve. There's clearly something wrong with me ... or perhaps I simply went into the wrong business out of college.

He bought two for him and two for his girlfriend. I am curious to see what they are. I know one is a BK2 and one might be a necker for his lady. He said she liked the small to hang around her neck. Could be a remora.

I get that same reaction from my wife.....
:D

I get the same from my wife, too.

I get the same reaction from your wives! >:-)

In all seriousness tho. I havn't so much converted people to -Becker knives- As converted people to knives (folders) in general as a useful tool. Look at this! + Knife! = Problem solved! Of my friends who didn't carry a blade. All of them do now. And it's not about anger, or posturing, or being BADASS! It's just that a blade is likely THE most useful tool you can carry. Period.
