OK, so I'm down in S&S looking to stir up...I mean, browse the problems people are having, and I see a thread asking about a "mobile" version of BladeForums...and there is one...(here's the thread) -

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7325610

And here's the link to the Mobile BladeForums -

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/pda=1

But the kicker is - if you use that link, and navigate down to the Buck MFG Forum (this Forum), it takes you to the first post of the Buck MFG's Forum - Kevin's welcome msg to Buck...In 1999!!! :D

It goes forward from there, but I was interested to see Jeff Hubbard answering posts...

I haven't figured out how to get it to default to the latest thread yet...it seems to default to the oldest...

I don't think you can get it to default to the first page.. unless you can click on a link where the url has "-p-36.html" or similar (p-37..) at the end :(

Good luck figuring this out though :)

Edit: Nordic Viking's right

I actualy was one of the 1st moderators. I was working for Joe at the time as Quality Supervisor, and I ran across the young Bladeforums. I chatted with Joe, and the Buck forum was born.

That is way cool!!! :D:thumbup:

Any good anecdotes??? ;)

We actually had to move Jeff away from the dark side and into the "light"; he is now my Value Stream Manager, responsible for the majority of the domestic product production. Some things are tougher than others- we had to keep telling Jeff, "no you can't just keep looking at it, you actually have to make it now." Seriously, Jeff has done an outstanding job and he has not compromised his Quality perspective.

You just click on the link in the upper right corner of the page that says "PDA" and you should have the postings the same way you have it on the normal version of blade forums. ;)

But wouldn't you rather look it up on your PC and read the problems people were having with Buck knives in 1999??? :p

Too bad we can't get pics...There were a lot of real knife manglers doing surprising stuff way back then...Some of the threads were still viewable when I first joined this forum... :o

(Hmmmm...They let Jeff in the shop and he made & assembled a couple of 110's...with BG-42 blades...wonder if those are still around???) ;)

Interesting...For your daughter??? They're...cute... :p

Oh, I get it!!! They're lures!!! Ha! That is cool!!! :D I'm not a fisherman...but I recall seeing lures (or whatever they're called) in my dad's tacklebox back in the '50's...Great big things; with 6 or 8 hooks on each one...maybe 3" or 4" long...I have no idea what he fished for with them (upper Niagara River)...but I remember he had a smaller box made of porous material which always had "seaweed" and live crabs in it...

He was an operator at a power generating station; the canal from the river went through the station, and he'd fish in the forebay...
