Hi John,

I been torn between choosing The Belt Hawk you offer and the hatchet you also make.

I couldn't figure out which of the two is a better Camp AX or chopper vs. camping splitter ect..... At the end I just choose the Belt Hawk cause it looks different than the normal Camp AX/Hatchet that I have owned.

Maybe others would benefit from knowing the pros-cons from choosing the Belt hawk over the Hatchet you offer.

Thanks,
bigC/Jose

The Belt Hawk is slightly longer (12" vs 11") and has a bit more weight in the head for more chopping power. The Hatchet was designed as more of a hunters companion.

OK....the extra 1 inch in the handle and the slight increase in weight would make it a better camping AX for me.

Thank you,
bigC

My Belt Hawk is my favorite JK. Even more than the Knatchet.

If I were to do another one it would have all tube pins to make a paracord grip or maybe a little flare at the bottom for a better grip.

I almost hate to post this picture so now everyone knows I wasted my money on those other two tools. :barf:

Belt hawk chops seriously above its size and weight while being compact enough to carry easily. Fantastic geometry. If you're at all tempted I highly recommend you pull the trigger.

For you guys that have one how does it compare to a standard hatchet or hawk? Also what about compared to a large knife (chopper). I like that it won't have a handle to break like a traditional hawk/hatchet.

I have enough material on hand for two of these, when it's gone I won't be ordering any more.

I have decided that with how popular this was last year I will be putting it in my lineup for 2017.

I think thats a good decision. They ate an awesome tool. I have beaten mine like I stole it and it takes it all in stride.

I love this pattern. I really like how keen of an edge it takes, especially when it was showcased by taking the thin slices off if the apple.
