I picked up a 913 D2 at my local dealer yesterday and I must say after putting it through its paces it is a hell of a knife. We are in the process of opening up a restaurant so there is boxes plastic wrap tape and everything imaginable that has to be cut. The blade came extremely sharp which is to be expected from benchmade. I must say I loved the handle feel of the old Stryker but not the tanto blade, so this is perfect for me. The AO is very fast and the liner lock engages with a snap. It feels lighter than my 910. I did somewhat prefer the disk on the 910 over the stud on this 913 but that is purely opinion as both are functional. I am a big D2 fan and this has held an edge over the last 12 hours cutting through a ton of cardboard, plastic wrap and plastic ties. It is still removing hair from my arm. Overall I am very impressed.

I just got mine too love it. The liner are thicker than the 910 and i like that. Opens very fast and very sharp. I would like to get the 912 to i hope they make a 912bk plain edge.

How hard is it to open the D2 Stryker? The two new Strykers I have had a chance to look at are hard to open not impossible but you really have to apply pressure to the opening stud to open. Thanks

Its more difficult than the old 910, but not any more difficult that other thumbstud initiated AO's on the market.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a HK Nitrous Blitz and it opens very smooth but it takes enough effort to open it that it will not open by accident. The strkyers have tried were hard to open but I think I will buy one because they are so light and sharp and look great.
