I recently picked up a Benchmade Bone Collector. I was kinda skeptical about it at first but this is one of my favorite blades now. I also own MANY other Benchmade folders like the Ritter Grips, 940, 943, Reg. Grips, Rift, Barrage, etc. This knife is just awesome. The handles are aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and provide good grip The D2 blade is perfectly shaped and the grind is extremely thin and is mainly flat ground. The knife rides really low in the pocket as well! It is a little thick, but it feels just like a Griptillian in the pocket and that is fine by me! Not to mention the thumb ramp is actually quite good. Much better then even the Ritter Grips. Your thumb really locks in! It's a little weighty but the 420J liners are drilled out to reduce some weight. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the split arrow clip. I do plan on changing that soon though.

I got one in the mail just about an hour ago in a trade (thanks Sean) and I think it's extremely cool. I don't know why I don't see more about them on here. Personally, I like the weight and size, but I can see that it might be a problem for some people. It feels very solid and seems like it would hold up well to hard use.

I own the Ritter Grips and I can say that I like the Bone Collector just as much as my Ritters. I like the handle feel on the Bone Collector and the thumb hole. I like thumbstuds as well but I like the hole a little bit better.

I have one, the large green/black handled model. I think this is one of those hidden gems that down the road will be highly sought. Everything in/on this knife just plain works to make it a complete package.:)
