So I was walking through Lowe's yesterday and as I always do I walked by their knife selection. As I poked around I happened to come across the CRKT Ripple. Never held one EVER! I have handled and owned $5 knives all the way up to $800 knives. I have read and heard great thing about this knife so I picked it up. Got it home and after 30 minutes of fighting open the plastic packaging it came in I gave it the first flip, I was speechless! For 30 dollars this is a perfect knife! It flips like a $800 knife! It locks up solid, NOT A HINT OF BLADE PLAY! Oh and the blade is centered perfectly! I received a $350 knife in the mail and it did not come close to the Ripple! If you have looked at the knife and have never picked it up, do your self a favor PICK IT UP! It feels like a much more expensive knife! They even rounded the blade off at the top to give that extra WOW factor! Oh and the standoffs are a really nice touch as well! Again I will say get it if you have the chance you will be glad you did!

This does look like a great value knife. 8CR14Mov blade steel, IKBS ball bearing system, under 2.5 ounces, 6061 aluminum handle...very nice. There are quite a few variations...Which model number does Lowes carry?

I've had fantastic result with my ripple as far as the steel goes. It's a fantastic value knife and the blade shape is one of my favorites. Glad to esee someone else as pleased as I was with mine.

You didn't have a knife to open your new knife with? For shame!

Looks like a nice knife! I'll have to give it a look.

Lol my wife looked at me and said "use that ZT knife you just got in the mail" haha just one of them moments.

I wish the Loews in Dunedin or Clearwater had a better selection of knives. All they have are a couple SOGS and a couple cheapo no names.

I keep looking at these at lowes just couldn't make my mind up. I'll have to pick one up next time I'm there. Thanks for the post.

I can't be quite so effusive as you, but I have one and I agree it is a fine knife, especially for the price.

I have two Ripples, the I and the II. The ultramarine blue and the bronze. I agree, these are definitely underappreciated knives. Even my secretary thought it was pretty!

I bought a Ripple a couple years back, mainly because I am a huge "Alien" nerd and it looked like some sort of H.R. Giger type of design. I am tempted to pick up the bronze version soon, but it's not next up on my to-buy list just yet. It's tough trying to prioritize knife purchases!
