I have been dealing with a guy from the Ukraine for a while now and I have tried his 4 Carat 10 Carat and now just recently his 20 Carat diamond paste.
I did a mirror polish on a Spyderco Military S110V and I wasn't going for a true mirror polish to point where not one scratch remained,I just wanted most of the scratch's gone.
I started off with a 80 120 240 400 grit metallic CBN stones then went to a 400 800 1200 Venev OCB stone then I used 3 1 and .5 micron diamond and these are the result's.
The diamond paste on the left is 3 micron and the one on the right is .5 micron I forgot to take picture's of the 1 micron, the 3 micron stuff made the ash wood strop I used that black in no time and I have to say it took about 1 minute or so for it to get that black.
I know what some are going to say and that some of the black is from the diamond paste but don't forget the 3 micron paste is tan in color.
For the .5 micron I used a MDF strop and for no particular reason it's just what I had already made up it was new it it removed metal fairly quick to but not as fast as the 3 micron.
I really like this 20 Carat paste and it worked faster then anything I have tried before and it's been a while since I used emulsion's but it seemed just as fast and I think faster when I used the 3 micron.
The main reason I like these diamond paste's is because if you get a few people to go in on an order with you it very when compared to emulsion's,I forget the price I paid for each but I know paid 28 usd a peace for 2 of these and 32 usd for the other one,I think the .5 was the 32 usd one.
Here is a chart showing the different diamond paste's that Michael offer's,the lowest concentration is on the left row and the highest in the right row, also the bigger the micron number in any of his diamond paste's means it will have more Carat's of diamonds to keep the particle ratio the same, his email is on the chart as well.
I also forgot to mention I use his oil base diamond paste's he offer's water base but he say's they are for polishing stones and gems stone only, his oil base has no petrol product's in it at all the oil in it is Oleic Acid which is found in animal fat and certain plants.
