A year ago I gave one of my friends a nice gift. He has a custom knife made from 154CM shaped like a 1911 grip that his wife of many years gave him. Beautiful knife, for sure. But, the blade is long and thick behind the edge. It is a tactical knife, after all. He would not even look at another knife. So, I bought a Dragonfly from Knifeworks.com and had it sent to him. He is never without that knife, though he still carries the other one. He is amazed at how well it cuts, its light weight, and how comfortable it is for a small knife.

I had a more dramatic response from my wife several years ago. She had a nice pink Mini Griptillian, but when she saw my orange Dragonfly, she said, "Oo", picked it up, opened and closed it, and it disappeared into her pocket. Hahaha! Now she has two in different colors. The DF is her favorite daily carry knife.

I also bought a bunch of Roadies in different colors and I have gifted them to my doctor and many of my friends. This made wonderful gifts and they are non threatening, while still being useful. These are all non knife people and except for one, this was the first pocket knife any of them ever had.

These two knives are the best knives I have ever seen to give as gifts. They are small, light, colorful, non threatening, and very useful.

Gifting knives to friends and family has been a very rewarding part of the hobby.

I've gifted my son a camo/DLC PM2, Pacific Salt SE , Tenacious, And a Waterway. My wife saw both the Para 3 XHP orange G10 Cutlery Shoppe exclusives I bought and hinted she liked the color scheme. Purchased the black blade Orange G10 Tenacious for her last year, It's her favorite knife now!

This last Christmas , EVERYONE in immediately family received a knife! Knives are fantastic gifts IMO!

I'd recommend the chaparral, thin and slicey, just the way knives are suppose to be.

Your generosity is commendable. I, too, have given a few knives away. I've given them to friends and family, as gratuity, and a few times to complete strangers who stopped to help me. More knives in more pockets is a good thing for everybody. Press on, sir.
