The BEST Khukri EVER....(see DURBA)

Today I got back a Durba BAS and a unmarked JKM from Terry and the Sarki shop.

A while back I gave Terry a large block of purple heart. (Thats right guys, you read it right PURPLE HEART.)

The JKM I got back is sheathed in tooled leather with the purple heart scales, and to my astonishment Terry distal tapered the tang. It is truly an amaizing rig. It is just a little bit blade heavy, and it still has some of the scratches I gave it before he got it, but to me it is perfect!

The BAS is also astonishing. 1 piece purple heart handle with no butcap and a silver keeper and no habaki bolster. The shape of the handle is like no other I have ever held. Perfectly ergonomic with no lines ground around the handle, it makes the lines simple and elegant.

Holy Toledo I need to buy a digital camera!

If you cannot tell I am like a kid in a candyshop on the day he gets his allowance... it is like christmas, execpt your mom has bought you knives instead of wool.

Man this is great!!!

Here are some more of a durba sword I keep telling you guys I beat the heyll out of and a hatchet/tomahawk that I bought at a flea market for $3 and rehandled with a piece of a broken bo from a MA class.

This camera is kinda fun... I need to buy one and learn to follow some of Pen's tutorial.

SamuraiDave--nice BAS and JKM... I really like the sheath TS made for the JKM. Was the entire piece of leather used for the sheath tooled to simulate stingray? A closeup would be great!
