Can someone please help me decide what kind of lube would work best with my Spyderco because I have heard of so many different types to use on so many different kinds of knives. I would like to know more about the best dry lubes that wont leave residue on the pivot or attract more gunk and grime. Please let me know. Thanks

I've become convinced that the best thing I can use is Lucas Assembly Lube (found at your auto-parts store).

I've used it on every folder I've ever taken apart and cleaned/lubed and it does a great job of sealing up the pivot, resisting soap/water so you don't have to take apart the knife in the future to clean, and it's both sticky and super-slick.

I just use a thin layer of it on a Q-tip or something and put it in between the washers of my folders (I've used it on a KVT and IKBS pivot as well and it works perfect on those as well - the sticki-ness actually helped on the KVT pivot as the bearings are all loose).

another for engine assembly lube here. Permatex red lube of love.
