I have quite a few of my own knives that am have made from non-stainless, 1080 steel. I'd like to have the maximum protection from corrosion for them while still keeping them safe to use with food. Is tuff cloth or tuff glide the best option? Is it safe for food prep?

Is there anything that is better for that prevention that lasts longer and is non toxic? I really don't want to ruin my blades.

I don,t know if its the best, but I use renaissance wax for blades I don,t use much ( collectables). Or eating with.
For user,s that I don,t use for food prep I use eezox it gives amazing rust protection.
The Renaissance wax should be safe you can use it on photos and paper and it,s safe, most museums use it to protect paintings.

I've been using eezoxx for years on my edc without ill
flavor on my food.

But if your talking kitchen food prep.
Mineral oil.
