I am not a statistician, but I have ordered the results by giving 5 points to every first place mention, and 1 point for every fifth place mention and so on in sequence. I then multiplied the total points by the number of mentions. Here are the scores of the knives that got more than one mention:

Benchmade 710 Axis Lock 150!
Microtech SOCOM 138
Reeve Sebenza 108
Crawford/REKAT Carnivore 90
Benchmade Pinnacle 33
Kit Carson Model 4 32
Tourzula Century Starfighter 27
Crawford Kasper Folding Fighter 20
REKAT Pioneer 14
Emmerson Commander 14
Mission Knives MPF 12
Benchmade AFCK 12
Cold Steel Gunsite 10
Benchmade Sentinel 10
Spyderco Military 8

The Crawford KFF, the Tourzula Starfighter, and the Carson Model 4 were the only "custom" folders with multiple mentions. If the different Lightfoot models were lumped together, they would have scored 36. I put the Carnivore in a different category, niether custom or production, since there are both, and I am not sure how much they differ.

There you have it. The Benchmade Axis Lock is the BEST!

Hello Harv (buddy),

Nice talley ...
But the Axis Lock being the best, can't agree, but from all that were polled here I can come up with that theory, too.

Just a theory, though! Need more than this poll to become fact.

Looking at the results, it looks more like "The BEST .. Folder," not necessarily tactical. 'Course, that depends on your definition of tactical

. I am not surprised that the 710 ranked high, but didn't expect THAT high. I AM surprised that the Spydie Mil ranked so low, though.

Steve: Nicely done ! but PLEASE ....spell my name correctly! Its TERZUOLA ! Its hard enough to pronounce without confusing the buying public further by mispelling it!!!!
Best of luck, Bob TERZUOLA

Bob,

I haven't seen you post before. Welcome to the Forums. Love your knives.

Thanks Damon I appreciate your comments and yes Fulcrum it was April Fool's Day. The joke was on me however when I saw my name but couldn't read it!!!:=)

Add one more vote for the AFCK.

Sal...You were right again, this is a class place and I really enjoy the forums. Problem is though I have been busier than a cat trying to cover up his poop on a marble floor! I've put my 2 cents in at the custom forum a few times and find this medium perfect for the exchange of ideas, not always pretty and not always (in my opinion)correct but that is the idea behind the first ammendment, isn't it.

The actual results, the way I tallied them, were as follows:

Spyderco Military 178
Benchmade 710 Axis Lock 150
Microtech SOCOM 138
Reeve Sebenza 108
Crawford/REKAT Carnivore 90
Benchmade Pinnacle 33
Kit Carson Model 4 32
Terzoula Century Starfighter 27
Crawford Kasper Folding Fighter 20
REKAT Pioneer 14
Emmerson Commander 14
Benchmade AFCK 13 (Counting Ken's late vote)
Mission Knives MPF 12
Cold Steel Gunsite 10
Benchmade Sentinel 10

Oh, and sorry about the spelling error Mr. Bobterzoula! Don't most people just call you Mr. 'Terzoula for short?

I about peed in my pants and fell of the chair with that one. May I use it? My previous favorite was, "I've been busier than a one-legged guy in an @ss-kicking contest," but the cat thing - I loved it! Thank you for the crack-up, Mr. T.
