We all love Spyderco, Kershaw, Benchmade, Case, SOG, Boker, Buck, ect ect

But what are your favorite "lesser known" production companies?

Which companies would you like to see get more business?

Great Eastern Cutlery is a kinda sorta little known Company that makes great knives, I wish they were sharper though.

Mcusta is also a lesser knownish company that makes great knives.

Maybe the Surefire knives. I don't own one, but from what I've read they are fairly innovative, with all the built-in tool functions cleverly provided with no additional weight or bulk. Top shelf all the way (s30V, ti) etc. My one 'druther' would be that they incorporate a pivot bearing system such as IKBS.

They do not seem to get a lot of attention.

I was very impressed with Foster Knives. I have their Lake Classic Folder, and it is impressive. Made in Portland Or. Add this one to the list. They are made by the Warne Scope Mount company.

love my Surefire delta, great knife, does not get the respect of Reeve and Strider, but easily in their class.

I love microtech.

Do they count? They make so few knives that very few people really know anything about them. It looks like they are mostly focusing on making OTFs and guns now so they may really fade into the abyss as far as most of us are concerned =/

I want to throw Surefire some love as far as their knives - I own both the pens and they are hard use tools.

The Delta folder is cool - up my alley - but worth the $$$?

I really liked REKAT, but they've been gone for a while. Right now my favorite slipjoints are the Queen-made Moore Makers, but since they're made by Queen, and have a significant following, I'm not sure they'd count -- but they make a double lockback trapper design that I really like.

Hmmm. I've a couple of Greco's, and they seem like good knives for the price.

Another vote for Mcusta and Moki. Mcusta gets a mention on the boards occasionally but you rarely hear anything about Moki. I have a couple of knives from both companies and the fit and finish is flawless on all of them - as good as any production knives I've seen.

Yeah, it must be the inclusion of a 1/4" wrench that makes them cost hundreds of dollars! I think Surefire knives are not worth what they sell for and that is why you don't hear much about them.
