The best way to get started

Hey Guys,
I have recently started colecting knives. I have trained with and carried fireams for the past 6 years. I am looking for the best way to get in to training with knives. I was hoping you guys could tell me the best way to get started.

I understand that. There are not any listed in the phone book. do you know of a listing of instructors anywhere on the net?

Didn´t want to be sarcastic, but it really is the best way of learning. There´s a Filipino Martial Arts instructor´s datbase somewhere on the web, when I´ve found it I´ll post the link. Filipino martial arts (FMA) are the easiest accesible way of getting structured weapons instruction.
You could look for the keywords Arnis, Escima/Eskrima, Kali in the phone book. They will probably lead you to some form of FMA style.
